Meet Christa Manning

Image Christa was very young when she first heard the salvation message and asked Jesus into her heart as Savior.  Since her family did not attend church regularly, nor did they understand what having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ meant, it was easy for her to go her own way during her teenage and early adult years.  Very low self-esteem helped spiral her into the depths of drug and alcohol abuse.
During that time, she decided that doing things her way was best.

Christa's childhood was catching up to her, though, and she couldn’t shake memories of being molested and felt somehow it was her fault. Her relationships were empty.  Christa began to realize that living “her” way was not erasing or hiding the pain deep inside.  She couldn't help herself, fix her broken heart, or find REAL happiness, no matter how many self-help and “think positive” books she read. They all sounded good on the surface, but the happiness they offered was nothing more than a dangling carrot that was always out of reach instead of true fulfillment.

Out of desperation, she cried out to God. Laying it on the line, she got honest with Him...and found true relief. Her willingness to allow Jesus to start working in her life even though she didn’t know how or where to begin brought peace. She waited to see what God would do...What she found was God moving in her life.  He began to send exactly the right people with the right words, Scriptures, or books to help her learn more about Jesus. As she began to believe what and who God said she was, she began to have freedom and a sense of purpose for her life.

ImageThat sense of purpose led Christa to Bible college, where she met Matthew. They quickly became great friends and helped each other with their schoolwork. They even started up a prayer group, which was a great learning experience. Matthew and Christa married in November of 1998, and she gave birth to their precious baby boy in August of 2002 and their second baby boy in September 2006.

Although Christa has never struggled with homosexuality, she has experienced great emotional pain and knows what it’s like to have a wounded heart. She has also experienced the incredible healing, freedom, and confidence that only Jesus Christ can give! This experience is what enables her to truly understand the hearts of hurting men and women.  She and Matthew have ministered in many different places and have seen so many who are hungry for a touch from God. They keep pointing them to Jesus Christ, because HE is truly the only answer!

When Christa is not ministering with her husband, she works as a government affairs administrator in San Francisco, CA.  Matthew and Christa are starting a Christian broadcasting network in San Francisco, California, one that will bring programming to the mainstream media that will enhance family values and bring to life biblical principles and the truth of God's Word as it applies to people living in the 21st century.

God bless you,
Christa
